The week before we were scheduled to leave for Croatia some dear friends set us up with a wonderful place to vacation and rest. We spent a wonderful week slowing down and enjoying some of my favorite things. We picked blackberries, walked on the rocky beaches of the San Juan Islands, lifted rocks and watched the crabs scuttle, rode the ferries, & visited Friday Harbor. We stayed at a place called Peace Haven though there were times when the kids were chasing each other and screaming that made me think the name didn't exactly fit. It was however a haven for us in midst of the chaos of preparing to go. Here are a few pictures of our time. Don't miss the video at the bottom!
